Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Defendly platform. By creating an account or registering monitored endpoints with our platform, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.
01. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Agreement") govern your access to and use of Defendly's uptime monitoring, SSL verification, and security telemetry platform ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and possess the legal authority to bind yourself or your organization to this Agreement.
02. Description of Service
Defendly provides automated external web application monitoring services, including ping checks, SSL certificate expiration tracking, automated security header inspections, and real-time alert notifications via webhooks, SMS, or third-party integrations.
03. Account & Security
To access the platform, you must maintain accurate and up-to-date account credentials. You are solely responsible for protecting your account credentials and multi-factor authentication devices. Defendly cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
04. Authorized Scanning & Acceptable Use
Security monitoring tools must be handled responsibly. When configuring monitored endpoints within Defendly:
Explicit Ownership
You must own or have explicit, documented authorization to monitor and scan every URL, IP, or server added to your account.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Defendly to perform unauthorized vulnerability exploitation, Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, or target third-party infrastructure without consent.
05. Service Level & Availability
While we strive for 99.99% uptime of our monitoring node network, Defendly provides services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Periodic maintenance windows, cloud provider disruptions, or regional network anomalies may occasionally impact telemetry delivery.
06. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds
- Billing Cycles: Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis.
- Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time via account settings. Access will continue through the end of the paid billing period.
- Refund Policy: Paid plans offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new accounts upon written request.
07. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Defendly and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, or data, resulting from your use or inability to use the monitoring service. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the total amount paid by you to Defendly during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
08. Governing Law & Legal Contact
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
